Yantzaza Integrated Development Project
Project aim:
To establish a Support and Training centre in a central place within the province of Zamora Chinchipe that provides social services (legal, medical, and economic) and intellectual, theological and economic training, in order to prepare people who are able to help in the integral transformation of their communities. In April of 2009 a team of 8 people from New Zealand led by Mark Pavelka went to continue the construction of the first stage of a multi-purpose building. Each member of the team raised $4,500 to pay for airfares and living expenses in Ecuador. A further $7000 was raised to purchase building materials in Ecuador and employ some local people to work alongside of the NZ team there.
The work is ongoing and yet to reach completion. |
